 Skhalta Church - an excellent center of Christian culture is located in Khulo district.M. Chigarev. ,, Skhalta Church The exact date of construction of the church is unknown. According to scholars, it dates back to the heyday of Georgian architecture in the XIII century.  In the churchyard are the remains of the foundation of a small church building. The construction of the Skhalta church and the decoration with icons should be connected with the name of the Abuserisdzes.
